In part it’s idiots like this that are the reason we always getting stuck with the “establishment” candidates like McCain and Clinton.

We can talk more about it when we get to camp.

Those are minor concerns compared to what McCain or Romney has in store for us all

I follow Dr. Paul a little and several of your opinions put a very negative spin on Dr. Paul’s positions. I dislike negative spins like this.

When you suggested that the federal courts should supervise local issues, you betrayed yourself. You are no libertarian. Nice try though.

Brian! said, in January 31st, 2008 at 5:50 pm

And I think that is why he is running as a REPUBLICAN. He has said he is a REPUBLICAN not a libertarian. Yes he has run as a libertarian, but has stated many times that he is a (R).
Would you be for a person that supports being in Iraq(n) for 100 years? Or one that says there is no way getting rid of the Fed Income Tax would or could help? Or how about one that says we need to get rid of illegals within 90 days.
Yes there is NO repeat NO candidate that can share your views 100%, but there are a few that would guarantee that you, as a blogger, would not be seen as a terrorist. And I believe if we keep going the way we are within 8 years this America will not be free at all…..if it is @ all right now.
He has my vote and no I am not a radical. I just do not like all the restrictions we have. And it is refreshing to see a candidate to sit in the Reagan library and say what he means without side stepping every issue.

You are so obviously running a “hit piece” on the honorable Dr. Paul that my comment will be limited to pointing out that authors and publishers of this type of bs are guilty of contributing toward an eventual society where all but the elite will be subjected to just the negatives you pretend to warn against, and that you are either a liar or that you are ignorantantly espousing scenarios that in no way represent positions taken and well defined by Ron Paul.

I think that even with those positions he would still fall under the broad category of libertarian. And he only takes that position on immigration because of the welfare state. If there were no entitlements, Ron Paul would not be so heavy handed about restricting immigration. Some policies do have to be implemented in a certain order and speed. I think Paul’s plans are reasonable.

John said, in January 31st, 2008 at 7:22 pm

you seem to be ignorant about Ron Paul policy, did you even research into his legislation and view?

On Abortion http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=66jpPCIzza8

He believe in individual rights, not collectives rights eg gay rights, heterosexual rights etc.

“we dont get our rights because we are “gay or women or minorities”, we get our rights as indiviuals”

He believe in stem cell research, but using embryonic blood

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=66jpPCIzza8

And regard the Dont ask, dont tell, he support it but dont support the way it is enforced

If homosexual behavior disrupts the military it should be removed and if heterosexual behavior disrupts the military it too should be removed.

Alex said, in January 31st, 2008 at 7:57 pm

Okay. You just told us that you are a flaming liberal who supports equating homosexual unions with actual marriage, killing the unborn, eliminating all references to religious texts in public life, and harvesting unborn human fetuses for consumption/destruction by medical researchers. That’s called being a liberal, not a “libertarian” - just in case you didn’t know the difference. So, don;t claim that Ron paulis not a libertarian because he doesn’t agree with your liberal ideas. It should be pretty obvious that this is why he always refers to himself as a CONSERVATIVE. Jeez!

Fred said, in January 31st, 2008 at 8:26 pm

Ron Paul does NOT support the border fence.
I have an interview with him and Stossel on my site explaining his view on immigration.
It’s my top story on Ron Paul Report

Most of your “points” against Ron Paul are blatant lies which you would know if you actually paid attention to anything Ron Paul has been saying. Ron Paul is a constitutionalist and if you would know what is in the US Constitution, you know what Ron Paul and the Founding Fathers would say about the subjects mentioned in your article. So your personal interpretation would not make you very popular with the Founding Fathers, but I can say with certainty that Joseph Goebbels would be proud of you. You learn the art of propaganda well. Next time however you should remember that Goebbels said: “”If you tell a lie BIG ENOUGH and keep repeating it,
people will eventually come to believe it.” You were lying, but your lies were not outrageous enough to be believed by the rest. Keep practising and you’ll eventually get the hang of it. Keep up the work and you’ll eventually get the country you deserve or you can just move to China instead of ruining it for your fellow citizens.

Congressman Dr. Ron Paul new book titled "The
Revolution: A Manifesto
" provides a constitutional perspective in the
modern world that illuminates how far the United States has departed from what
it was meant to be. And provides insight on how we can regain our freedom.

YOU SUCK!

Jonathan said, in February 9th, 2008 at 10:38 pm

These are indeed cases where Ron Paul gets it wrong. However, I still support him because he gets the major issues (war, police state, empire) right. When I do not have to worry about my country starting unjustified wars, I will be more interested in such causes as removing government involvement from marriage.
