According to a report provided by the Institute of International Education, between the 2004-2005 and 2005-2006 academic years, the number of students studying abroad in Europe increased by only 4.8 percent, while those going to the Middle East increased by 31 percent, Asia by 26 percent and Africa by 20 percent.

The fact that men are not going to college as much as women right now does not prove that there is a societal disorder. As a heterosexual male, I think it’s great that there are more women at UF, though I must admit that opinion has less to do with social justice than personal interest.

University officials are carefully considering the possibility of offering in-state tuition to students from bordering counties of Illinois to be sure the idea would actually make the university money.
