The full force of the American political machine is upon Pennsylvania after its emergence as a major battleground state for the Democratic primary season. One may have observed one or two people with a clipboard urging people to register to vote, if not an influx of campaigning on campus.

Sens. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama take their bowling shoes to the battle ground of Pennsylvania. The Democratic candidates and their supporters are campaigning for votes. Affiliates are covering their stops before the April 22 primary.

For an hour Friday afternoon, every student on Kirkwood Avenue stopped drinking. In the heat of Little 500 festivities, on a gorgeous sunny day, students left Kilroy’s, emptied the Upstairs Pub and poured out onto the sidewalks and into the street, all looking for one man: Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama. He came, after all.

The newly created Students for McCain chapter at N.C. State organized about one week ago, but officials for the organization said they aren’t kicking into high gear yet.

Hillary takes a pathetic little sip and stops, along with the video clip, which ends right after a close up of the nearly untouched shot in Clinton’s hand. I’m guessing she was afraid that downing a few ounces of 80-proof booze too quickly might backfire. A video of Clinton vomiting all over her pantsuit would be a big hit on YouTube for months.

Most people who commented on the NewYorkTimes.com blog believe that Obama Girl’s sex appeal will help the Obama campaign. They also believe her efforts might affect the youth vote, but this is not what’s needed to help our generation when it comes to being taken seriously in the political world.
